Finca Lagarillo with private pool

Finca Lagarillo with a large pool which is let by night with subdued lighting hidden behind old roof tiles and these lights together with the fantastic views add to the romantic atmosphere. Under the covered terrace which is protected from the wind there is a large rustic wooden table with two benches with sufficient seating for 8 people. As the house has electric under-floor heating and an open traditional Andalucian fire-place it can be rented throughout the year. Temperature inside in colder weather is usually over 20 degrees.

From the outside terraces and porch as well from the pool and BBQ area you will enjoy spectacular views through the mountains down to a wide expanse Mediterranean sea.

3,5 kms from Cómpeta with reasonable access most of the way apart from the final part which is quite steep. This part is, however cemented and an ordinary car can be used. Nervous drivers may feel happier in a four wheel drive.

Competa

Competa is the first of the interior villages to welcome visitors from other countries. It is a village, which dates back to Muslim times, and this style is reflected in its winding streets and traditional houses.

It has a population of approx. 3.500 and the village is friendly, hospitable and a place where the local inhabitants and the people from other countries who settle here live together in peace and tranquillity. Competa is famous for its wine and this gives rise to one of the best known festivities of the region. Known as the "Noche del Vino" it is celebrated on the 15th of August with villagers and tourists congregating in the village to sample the wine and take part in the festivities. The visitor to Competa will find in this beautiful village an old world atmosphere, full of sights, sounds colours and scents. The people, their customs and their impressive mountain ranges will enclose you in a magical world of beauty only to be found in this region of Axarquia.
