Beautifully renovated the house has kept is original character - thick walls and shuttered windows. Inside is spacious and has tiled floors, wooden beams, doors and windows. All eight bedrooms are situated on the first floor and all have their own ensuite bathroom and have been individually themed and decorated and contain ceiling fans. On the ground floor the large kitchen is Andalucian in style with granite work surfaces and uncovered brickwork and is also fully equipped. There is a large dining room, lounge with an open, log-burning fireplace, a bar area and separate television room with satellite TV and a bookcase with English language books and many games. There is a separate laundry room with washing machine and dryer. The large shaded terrace measures over 100 sqm and has views to the garden and swimming pool - 10m x 5m and the house stands in its own enclosed one acre garden with many lemon and orange trees as well as fig and plum trees.
The farmhouse is actually located just outside of the small town of Pizarra, only 8 kms from Alora. Pizarra is a tiny town approximately 30 kilometres from Malaga in the Guadalhorce valley at the foot of the 350 metre high Sierra del Hacho. Pizarra has managed to avoid drastic change and is still a largely farming community.
Pizarra boasts several banks with ATMs, many bars and restaurants as well and a couple of well stocked supermarkets.
The town celebrates its festival at the beginning of the second week in August where this sleepy town comes alive with a large fair and attractions.
