Interior facilities

Mhofu is built on a plot measuring 2000m2. It is suited for a maximum of 5 people. The house is made of brick, with a thatched roof that has built-in solar panels. But regular electricity is also available. Throughout the house and on the balcony and veranda (27m2 each) electrical fans have been installed on the ceilings plus there is airconditioning since june 2007. For outside use, a plastic table and four chairs are available.

Lower floor: the open kitchen, with gas-heater, gas-stove and refrigerator, is fully equipped. Living and dining area (31m2) contain Southafrican furniture, 2 bedrooms of 12m2 each with their one airco, are furnished with double beds and 2 bathrooms with toilet and shower. Clothing cupboards and store room have been built in.

Upper floor: Open space with bed-couch for one person plus 1 single bed. A catwalk leads to the balcony (27m2). There is a bush garden where beautiful indigenous trees grow,like the Marula and the Fever tree. A boma semi surrounds the BBQ-area.The garden has two waterholes for the animals. There is a bush shower for a nice cool-down. From the veranda you willbe able to see animals drinking. Double carport. The house has a burglar alarm and is monitored on a 24 hours basis by the field-security office in Marloth Park. No swimmingpool, no Jacuzzi but a PUMBAD!

Marloth Park boasts a secluded recreational area and its own wildlife sanctuary that may be visited for a small entrance fee. There is a tennis(hard)court -bring rackets and balls-, a swimming pool, changing rooms, toilets, bbq-site and a volleyball net. It is also a perfect lookout point over the Crocodile River and into Kruger National Park.

Marloth Park offers two supermarkets (also for souvenirs, stamps and pin payments), a liquor store, a petrol station, an information office, an ironware store, a security company’s office, several restaurants, a washingmachine area, a hairdressers and an ambulance service.
