5 minutes drive to Carrington Club Golf Course and Karikari Winery, Vineyard and Restaurant, general grocery store, take away's, liquor outlet store, and a dive bottle refill.

The magnificent Tokerau Beach stretches for 18 kilometres of unspoilt beach. Another beautiful beach can be found at Karikari Bay, which is excellent for fishing and surfing and kayaking. Matai Bay and Cape Karikari are popular with scuba divers.

Closest airport is 30 minutes away at Kaitaia, where there are return flights per day from Auckland to Kaitaia airport. The other airport about 50 minutes drive is Kerikeri Airport with daily flights to and from Auckland.

There is an excellent bus service from Kaitaia to Auckland daily.

Mangonui is about 20 minutes away and has the 'world-famous' fish shop.Here there are lots of waterfront cafe's, hotels, Restaurants, petrol station, general grocery stores, take away's, pubs, etc...
