Aourir

Aourir, Tamraght and Taghazout villages sit side-by-side on the stretch of coast 10 - 15k to the north of Agadir, each one with its own character. Aourir bustles with local traders, especially on souk day, there is a bank with atm and a well-stocked supermarket. Tamraght is more peaceful in its hill-top setting with breath-taking views and Taghazout still shows signs of the hippy invasion of the 60's and 70's. The coast is famous for its excellent beaches offering surf-breaks for beginners and those with more experience. Day trips include Imouzzer valley and waterfalls, Tiznit, Taroudant. Essaouira and Marrakech are suitable for overnight trips

Agadir

The beautiful resort of Agadir with its sweeping bay and year-round sunshine is more interesting than most holiday destinations because of the fantastic scenery and traditional Moroccan way of life which can be experienced by travelling just a few miles out of town. The scores of restaurants offer local and international food, the nightclubs are excellent and, since the recent opening of the marina, the shops sell everything from local craftwork to designer clothes. During the day, there is plenty to do - watersports include jet-skiing and para-gliding, there are 3 golf courses, a huge souk and a small bird sanctuary. Agadir resort has something for everyone!
