Self-catering; linens, towels, and cookingware are provided. Independent central heating. Children-friendly and pet-friendly. Smoking allowed only outside the house. The access to the house is through a 900-meter driving lane among the woods. There is a parking area. English-speaking owners.

• Please always add extra 50 € for weekly cleaning.
• Weeks are from Saturday to Saturday.
• Check-in time is from 4 to 8pm; check out time is before 11 am.
• Payment methods available are: Paypal, bank transfer, cash. At time of reservation, 50% of the total amount is required for booking.
• Upon arrival, 350 € in cash are required as a security deposit.
• Tai Chi Chuan lessons and Holistic Training available on site upon request; lessons are English-spoken and paid as an extra.

May/June:
-Colata dei Ceri (April 25 at 21:15 in Piazza della Repubblica) e Offerta dei Ceri (April 26 at 16:00 in Piazza della Repubblica) a S. Margherita - period (medieval) costume processions (based on a Cortona Statue dated 1325) on the weekend
evenings preceeding the feast of Santa Margherita (May 13, 2007). Friday & Sat. preceeding Ascension; usually the Saturday & Sunday prior to the Giostra. (May 31 & June 1, 2008);
-Festival of May - Castiglion Fiorentino (April 25- May 3, 2008);
Calendimaggio Festival - in nearby Assisi [Umbria]. Locals in Medieval costumes with minstrels strolling the streets (May 4-6, 2007);
-Giostra dell'Archidado (May 31 - June 1, 2008) - historical recreation of AD 1397 archery contest between the quintiere of Cortona in celebration of the wedding of Francesco Casali & Antonia Salembeni in that year. The recreation of the wedding will be at 21:15 on May 31 in Piazza Signorelli and the Giostra (the Sunday after Ascension) is at 16:00 on June 1 in Piazza Signorelli. There may be two additional events during this period: On TBD at 21:00 in Pza. Signorelli an exhibition of falconry; on TBD at 21:30 in Pza. Signorelli an exhibition of Flagthrowers from Cortona & surrounding communities;
-Wild Boar Festival - Castiglion Fiorentino (May 9 - 18, 2008);
-Flower and ornamental plant exhibition - Piazza Signorelli & Piazza della Repubblica (April 30, 2008);
-Corsa dei Ceri (each May 15 in Gubbio [Umbria]). A race with giant candles to Chiesa Sant'Ubaldo. On the eve of Sant'Ubaldo's Feast Day (St. Ubaldo is Gubbio's patron saint).

Tuscany

The countryhouse is located strategically near the border between Tuscany and Umbria, in the heart of the Italian countryside between Cortona (19 Km), Città di Castello (25 Km), and the Trasimeno lake (30 Km). Peace and quiet are guaranteed, but at the same time it represents the ideal starting point for discovering the charming Renaissance cities of central Italy; beautiful art cities of Cortona or Città di Castello are only a half-an-hour drive away; Perugia, Siena, Arezzo, Gubbio and Sansepolcro (birthplace of Piero della Francesca) about forty-five minutes away. The nearest village is at 4 Km, and offers a drugstore, a pizzeria, two restaurants, two bars, a swimming-pool and a post office; a horse-riding facility is at 6 Km, and restaurants, shops and supermarkets at 10 Km.
