Mediterranean Natural Reserve with paleolitical area and wonderful with sand beaches
Along the seafront the Foro Italico presents the façades of a series of majestic palaces: Branciforti di Butera, Amato di Galati, Petrulla, the Noviziato dei Crociferi, and Palazzo Forcella (later renamed De Seta), built in 1832 in eclectic style - the bastions of this last palace incorporate the late-16th-century city gate Porta dei Greci, before which stands a monument commemorating Vincenzo Florio (1875). In the early 19th century, the high ramparts along the seafront (once known as Strada Colonna) were crowned with a promenade known as Passeggiata delle Cattive or Mura delle Cattive, i.e. Widows’ Walk” or “Widows’ Walls”, so called because widows could walk here in comparative seclusion (the widows were called “captivae”, literally “captives”, because they were prisoners of their mourning). A broad stairway leads up to this from Piazzetta Santo Spirito. Also on the Foro Italico is an elegant Neoclassical Bandstand (1846).

The Cathedral of Palermo should be visited in any case; the different architectural styles give the building a unique style and a special flair, though experts in architecture maybe look at this building less enthusiastically. The Arabian touch of the decorations give a strange beauty to the building and also the interior of Palermo’s cathedral has a lot to offer

Alesa founded in 403 B C by Arconide original inhabitanted by the Sicani, main headquarters of military action during the Greek times. "many are the Sicilian cities where there is great abundance of culture and honesty. Among the first Alesa must be mentioned, because, you will not find any other more faithful, richer and prestious and imposing" ......Cicerone, Verrina II.3
