Is molas golf club

The district of Is Molas adjoins the locality of Santa Margherita di Pula, one of the most fascinating parts of the island’s southern coast: beautiful beaches and bays of limpid water stretching as far as Capo Teulada offer enthralling scenery to lovers of the wild and unspoiled landscape of Sardinia.

Thanks to the unique microclimate of this region, unlike any other on the island and generated by the neighbouring mountains, which block winds coming from the north, it is possible to play golf all year round.

Alongside the beauty of its nature, the region boasts some remarkable historical and archaeological sites, such as the Phoenician-Punic and later Roman city of Nora (whose remains extend all the way to the sea and for some way beneath it) and the ancient Phoenician-Punic settlement of Bythia. On the islet of Su Cardolinu, just a few meters from the beach, it is still possible to admire the ruins of a Phoenician tophet.

Nor can a visit to the interior be missed. Various excursions are on the programme. In the first place to the reserve of Is Connoneris, 4700 hectares of forest, rich in evergreen oaks and conifers and traversed by a 64-km-long trail with breathtaking scenery, to be admired from the summit of Monte Linas, 1236 meters above sea level. And then there are the extraordinary caves of Is Zuddas, an enchanted place, a fairy tale of nature, that was only discovered some ten years ago. Walking through the caverns, you can see stalactites, stalagmites and spectacular limestone formations, culminating in an almost unreal grotto, its roof adorned with extremely rare "eccentric" aragonites.
