Sabina is very near Rome and well connected to it. It is a green area, with nice hills and small mountains, the air is clean and the evenings quite fresh in the evening, while during the day you have a lot of sun. There are many places of interest to visit, Rome first of all and then the small cosy medieval villages around here.

Rieti

Rieti is 45 Km from Poggio Mirteto. The valley (Valle Santa)in which it is situated is very interesting because there are a lot of monasteries where San Francesco lived.

Poggio Mirteto

In the nice town Poggio Mirteto, it is possible to find everything you may need. In fact Poggio Mirteto is the largest town of the area. In the summer there are festivals and concerts. You can find restaurants, bars, banks, supermarkets and weekly markets. There are fishing places, a golf field, tennis courts.
