Poetto beach

Poetto,is a pleasant long (8/9 km) sandy beach only 10 minutes away from
Cagliari downtown,its water is cristal clear,and many kiosks are located
all along its profile,providing drinks, food and sunbeds rentals.

In the summer,it is also a great place for nightlife.

Cagliari

Cagliari is the capital of the Sardinia region. Other than being a major hub for transportation in and out the island, it is the centre of political government,university branches,and business in general.
A 9 km. long beach (the closest one from the apartment and also the one you see in the pictures) stretches out from down town to join another picturesque curvy road that takes you to the tourist town called Villasimius after a 40 min drive. This road has some really scenic views of the sea and the tiny, intimate beaches you might want to stop by for a relaxing sunbathing session or for a swim.

Along the beach in front of the apartment, there's a large laguna where you'll have the chance to observe hundreds of flamingoes, the pink birds who regularly choose this idyllic part of the island to rest and enjoy our mild climate.

Cagliari has also a quite active nightlife and offers an array of restaurants (try our fish accompanied by some local white wine) pubs and bars.

Downtown is only 10 min away.There you can walk in the marina area behind the port, very similar to the Barcelona's tiny 'ramblas'.This one is highly recommended.

Golf courses also available in the area.

While the beachlife is undoubtedly the major attraction to tourists, the hinterland is absolutley worth a visit, to have a taste of the mountain lifestyle of its inhabitants and to better comprehend sardinia culture;also don't forget to try a nice glass of our strong but tasty red wine.
