Just on the outskirts you can visit the famous Lucca villas among which the most important is the big housing estate of the 'Villa Reale' in the small town of Marlia. In 15 minutes' drive you can reach the city of Lucca, the capital of the Province, famous for its historical monuments, art works as well as musical and entertaining venues like Lucca Comics.In addition you can visit other important art cities like Florence (76km), Pisa (25km), Siena(15km) Pistoia(52km), or other famous places like 'la grotta del vento' (the cave of the wind), the thermal city of Montecatini and the amusements of the Versilia seaside resorts.
