Lucca is one of the most important art cities in Italy, famous even outside the national boundaries for its well-preserved city walls dating back to the XV-XVII centuries, delineating a perimeter of about 4,450 metres around the inner nucleus of the city. Piana di Lucca

Immersed in the magnificent hills near Lucca amidst age-old noble olive trees and renowned vineyards you can see the small as well as ancient village of Matraia. From its sunny hills you can take a breathtaking view on the valley of Lucca where the beauty of the natural spots blends with gorgeous villas and flamboyant gardens.
