How to get there

Ischia is the largest island in the Gulf of Naples (Ischia, Capri, Procida, Vivara), situated in central Italy and precisely in the Campania Region.

The island is well linked to the mainland thanks to the transport service of several shipping companies. You only need to reach one of the harbours of Naples or Pozzuoli (from the latter there are only ferries departures) and it's OK!

By Hydrofoil from Mergellina to Ischia Porto it usually takes between 35 and 40 minutes. From Molo Beverello to Ischia Porto, on the contrary, you will need between 45 and 55 minutes. Obviously, in the case of rough sea, this duration time can remarkably increase (around 30-50%). You can also reach by Hydrofoil directly to Forio!

The public transport service on the island is performed by the SEPSA Company, that links quite carefully, with frequent bus trips, the various towns of the island. Most of these trips have their terminus in the town of Ischia, near the harbour.

To reach forio from Ischia Porto go to bus terminus near the harbour and catch bus numbers CS - 1 - 2.
