Holiday villas have been popular on Como since the first century A.D., when Pliny the Younger had not one but two villas on the lake - one called Comedy, the other Tragedy. In the 19th century, Longfellow came to Lake Como to write, as did Tennyson. Composer Franz Liszt came here in 1837 and wrote his Dante Fantasia; Bellini wrote his opera Norma; and the dancer Taglioni lived at Blevio

The Lake Como area possesses extraordinary natural beauty, and to experience its splendor you can choose to walk along the many scenic mule tracks, footpaths, bridalways and backroads throughout the region; or to sail on its dark blue water or again to drive along the lakeshore road "Antica Regina"… . To describe Lake Como in just a few sentences is an impossible task but we can say this wonderful piece of Italy has it all. Location

Domaso, an old fishing village, now a pleasant tourist centre on the west side of Como Lake, where you can practice many water sports. In the calm of the historical centre are situated many attractions.
