Agios Nikitas is built at the end of a forest, full of age-long olive trees, where cars are not allowed. During the last years, the region has evolved to tourist resort.

More and more visitors choose Agios Nikitas, for their vacation, as it combines calmness with the close distance from the town and the rest tourist regions of Lefkada.

There is a pedestrian of 200 m where you can find a lot of restaurants, gift shops, hotels and rooms. Agios Nikitas is 11 km away from the city of Lefkas, in a distance of 27 km from the Aktio's airport, 3 km from the Kathisma beach and 30 km from the very popular beach of Porto Katsiki. Daily cruises take place from the village to Milos beach which is only 3 minutes by ship

Lefkas

Lefkada is the fourth biggest island of the Ionian Sea. It is situated between Corfu and Cefalonia, very close to the north-west coast of Aitoloakarnania.

It is the only island which is joined with the mainland of Greece by a floating bridge of constant flow.The beautiful village of Agios Nikitas is the only village of the west side of Lefkas that is very close to the sea.It is 12 κm far away from Lefkas town. This traditional village with its stone paths is jewel of the island.

Ionian Islands

The Ionian Sea is crowned with a complex of islands which consists of Kerkyra or Corfu, Cefalonia, Zakynthos or Zante, Ithaca, Lefkada, Kythira and Paxi. Strung along the west coast of Greece, the Ionian islands are the only group not in the Aegean, and in many ways they are more reminiscent of their close neighbor, Italy. Apart from tiny Meganisi, none are "undiscovered", although, as with all Greek islands, anyone who forays into their hinterlands will be rewarded with the delights of unspoiled villages. Corfu, with its beguiling landscape of vibrant wildflowers and slender cypress trees rising out of shimmering olive groves, is considered by many to be the most beautiful of the Greek islands.
