  • Wecome pack on arrival of a few essential items
  • English speaking owners or their representative will be available upon arrival to hand over keys, etc.
    The owner will not be on site but will arrive once per week for general maintenance duties

  • We are sorry the house is not suitable for wheelchairs or anyone with a walking disability

  • Small dogs are allowed but will have to be controlled outside - sorry no cats

  • NO SMOKING inside the house, please

    • Discounted weekly rate for second and multiple continuous weeks.
    • Prices are for 7 days arrival 4 pm Saturday depart 10 am Saturday except by prior arrangement.
    • House clean midweek (midweekend) 65€
    • End of Holiday clean 90 €
    • Bed Linen and one set of towels provided (not for outdoor use).
    • Extra set of towels 13.5 € per room.
    • We are sorry we cannot accept credit cards but will accept a sterling cheque or UK bank transfer. Pay Pal is also an option but there may be a small extra charge.

    Home description

    The Le Vieux Logis is a traditional stone house built towards the end of the 19th century. It is situated in the Domain Imperial de Solferino within the regional forest of des Landes de Gascogne.

    The house is ideally placed for beach holidays, the high Atlantic rollers are a mecca for surfers and watersports enthusiasts whilst the golden sandy beaches offer the opportunity of relaxing and soaking up the sun.

    With the vineyards around Bordeaux, La Bastide d'Armagnac in south Landes, the thermal town of Dax and the spanish flavoured town of St.Jean de Luz all an hour or just over away, the holiday maker will be spoilt for choice.

    Location

    Solférino is a small town and commune in the Landes département, in the Aquitaine région of France.

    According to INSEE data, its population in 1999 was 348.[1]

    It was created in 1863 by Napoléon III by uniting several neighboring communities. It is named after the Battle of Solferino.
