15 minutes from the cottage you will find a tiny 11th century Cistercian abbey with a pond, an inhabited mill and a good restaurant within its grounds.
Below the crest of the Monts d'Arr�e, you discover the hamlet of Relecq and the remains of the abbey of Notre-Dame-du-Relecq. It was built on the ruins of an ancient monastery, founded in the sixth century by Pol Aurelian, the first bishop of Leon. The abbey is of the Romanesque style of architecture and is very sober, as is the rule in the Cistercian order.
