It is an ideal location for walking, hiking, cycling, bird-watching or just strolling and relaxing in the pure country air. We provide route maps for cycling and walking, from a gentle stroll on a short route or long distance rambles across country for the more energetic.

Horse riding facilities are available locally. The area is noted for fishing and information regarding licenses can be provided on request.

The Amorique National Park has a wide range of activity opportunities to suit everyone, from gentle drives on quiet country lanes through the forest areas and pretty villages en route. We are within easy reach of Quimper, Lorient, Pont Aven and Brest where there is a very fine golf course and a large shopping area. The rose granite coast and all of Brittany's other enchanting coastline and beaches are also not too far away for a day out.

The cottage which was built before the era of standardisation is as individual as the Breton farmers who built it from the local granite of the Monts D'Arée, It has a working well built into it's side.

The sleepy village of Berrien is a 5 minute walk away and is a calm, tranquil place, with a magnificent 15th century church at its centre. There is an extensive network of trails and paths in the locality which make it a perfect area for ramblers and cyclists.

Berrien has its own boulangerie, as well as a bar which serves good home cooked food, a restaurant serving traditional French cuisine and a recently opened pizzeria.
