Nearby attractions include Milina cave and a nearby lake which is nice for taking walks around. Also Dragon eye, natural phenomena, which is connected with the sea. The medieval World Heritage town of Trogir is well worth a visit, as is Sibenik. For those that enjoy the countryside Krka National Park is just 55 km away. The Diocleans Palace in Split is a fascinating labyrinth of alleyways well worth exploring also.
Rogoznica is a popular tourist town on the Dalmatian coast in Croatia that lies in the southernmost part of the Sibenik-Knin County, in a deep bay sheltered from wind, about 30km far from Sibenik. In the 2001 census, the population of the city was 2,391, with 96% declaring themselves Croats. Rogoznica is a seaside resort situated 34 kilometres south of Šibenik and it is also one of the most suthern points of the Šibenik-Knin County.It is linked to Šibenik and Split by the Adriatic Highway.
One part of Rogoznica lies on the coast and is called Kopača while the other was originally an island that has been converted into a peninsula. Rogoznica is also a well-protected port specialized for all kind of boat and ships. This fishing area is perfect holiday destination.
There is a thick pinewood and a long promenade. In a Rogoznica there is also a post-office and a health centre.
The part of Rogoznica that lies on the mainland was populated already in 1390. In 1518 the inhabitants fled in front of the Turkish army to safety of the nearby islet.
In the recent history, the nearby village of Zecevo became known widely during the Croatian War of Independence when the Croatian volunteer army hit two planes of the Yugoslav army during the aerial bombing, and one of the soldiers shouted triumphantly: "Both went down!" which at the time meant a lot for the course of the war, and these words are still connected to the place.
Rahim Ademi, a Croatian general during the Homeland War, was stationed in Rogoznica for a time.

First inhabitants for its dwelling chose in 1390. a land part of today’s Rogoznica, Kopača. And near island, Kopara, on which inhabitants searched shelter from Turks, is colonized in 1518. When there was no any more danger from Turks, island is connected with a land part. On island is in 1809. during French rule, built fortress. Old church St. John of Tragurion, from 1324. on near horn Ploča, is telling us that this area was visited and before first inhabitants came there. Contribution to this give us also a chapel of St. Nicholas in a cage Loznica where on a graveyard are discovered a few ledgers (stečci). Rogoznica today is a typical mediterranean village whose population are around 800. People mostly work in tourism, on a land or on hookers. Thanks to preserved atmosphere of typical quiet little place, Rogoznica to its inhabitants and visitors offers peace and rest in front of all, completely different from a modern life. That little place will hug you as a old friend and after just few days you’ll feel as a part of local people, saying hello to fisherman’s watching them leaving and coming back in to a harbour, or toasting to some known face looking for a short rest under palm leafs. Moments of pleasure on some of natural beaches, soon will take you out of tensions, which gave you an idea to search a rest under a hot mediterranean sun.
