Povlja is a little place in Dalmatia, at the north east side of the island of Brač, one of the most beautiful islands, an intact pearl of the Adriatic sea.
The Pupa apartments are extraordinarily well located, right in the centre of Povlja, Brac.
The apartments are close to the sea (30 m). In the closest proximity of the apartments you can find: a supermarket (some 50 m away), a post office (100 m), a soccer field (100 m), numerous beaches, cafés, bars and other catering establishments.
Each of the apartments has a big terrace with a view of the Povlja cove.
Povlja is a little place in Dalmatia, at the north east side of the island of Brač, one of the most beautiful islands, an intact pearl of the Adriatic sea.
The place is crowded with interesting monuments, with most of them originating from the 5th century. The most famous are «Povaljski prag» and «Povaljska listina». “Povaljski prag” is one of the oldest and most important epigraphic monuments in Croatian Cyrillic, and “Povaljska listina” is the oldest preserved paper written in Croatian language, in Cyrillic. It is important to mention the remains of the Basilica from the 5th century. The Basilica is in good condition. In Povlja you can also find an octagonal baptismal font, the only one existing in Croatia today. There are 310 inhabitants in Povlja today. Most of them still make a living by fishing, olivegrowing and winegrowing. This is one of the reasons why Povlja’s nature still has its original colouring. Clean air, the beautiful sea and an intact environment are what makes Povlja an ideal choice for your vacation.
