La Caleta village is famous for its many fish restaurants, which overlook the equally famous traditional harbour.
La Caleta is only a 15 minute walk from Bahia Del Duque, with its beautiful beaches and fabulous designer shopping.
There is a beachfront promenade that stretches all the way from La Caleta past Del Duque, Torviscas, Playa De Las Americas along to Los Christianos.
The 27 hole, Adeje Golf Course, home of the 2003 Spanish Open is only 1 km up the road from La Caleta.
Although the main resort beach is quite small, and is described in the few guides that have been written about La Caleta as being "a mixture of sand and pebbles", a short walk south towards Adeje, brings you to the Hotel Costa Adeje Palace and the sandy Playa de la Enramada beach. Despite being so close to a large hotel, the guests staying there all appear to prefer the pool to the beach, and as a result it rarely becomes too crowded even in high season.
