The town itself is the ideal place relax or a base to travel all around the island as it is the most central town ion the island.

Caleta boasts of 2 championship golf courses ,the Atlantico modern shopping centre and the main city puerto del rosario only 15 minutes away on the bus which stops directly across from Esmerelda. A car is not essential as buses run from north to south of the island via caleta regularly although if you plan a trip across the mountains a car is needed.

Bars and the best restaurants on the island are all within 5 minutes ,Portuguese steak house recommended closest to apartment 150m and easy to find book early as it is always difficult to get a table. the step inn are 2 irish bars with all the games and live music Scottish and English bars also close by.
