Corralejo

Corralejo is the largest resort on the island, once a small fishing village it has grown to a bustling resort that offers something for everyone.

The harbour is extremely popular all day, you can sit watching the glass bottom boat and the Lanzarote ferries or the fishermen on the old jetty with a cold beer or a coffee. Venture back down here of a night and you will find some lovely restaurants serving great food while you watch the light fade and the island of Los Lobos disappear for the night.

Corralejo is home to the BAKU complex, here you will find a waterpark, Animal Experience where you can swim with seals, Terror Hotel haunted house, mini golf and the twice weekly market.

5 minutes walk from the apartment is the El Campanario shopping centre, this opened in 2007 and is designed to look like a typical canarian village. There is often live music in the main square and a market takes place some Sundays selling local produce that you can try before you buy.

On the way into Corralejo you will pass through the Las Dunas National Park, here you will find amazing blue seas and golden saharan sand with breath taking views. You can walk along the beach right into town. It is well worth spending a day at the two hotels beach and topping your tan up.
