The pretty village of Velchevo (literally translated this means “the village of the wolves”) is a farming village situated 12 km southeast of the picturesque town of Veliko Tarnovo, the historical capital of Bulgaria during the second Bulgarian Kingdom and the cultural heart of the nation.
The village is easily reached by road, it takes about 10 minutes from Veliko Tarnovo. There is a general store in the village that sells basic provisions and a doctor.
