Home description

Close, but not too close, to the historic city of Silistra with its Roman Ruins, Turkish Fortress, Art Gallery and Museums. We can provide comfortable and affordable accommodation on the edge of the Srebarna Biosphere Reserve.

Our guests often comment on the tranquility of the village and many of them end up staying for more nights than they had planned.

The Biosphere Reserve is only 250 metres from our gate and access is easy all year round. We have warm in the winter and cool in the summer rooms all fitted with air-con and mosquito screened windows.

Srebarna

Srebarna Biosphere Reserve was protected under the Ramsar convention of 1975. Designated as a World Biosphere Reserve in 1977 and recognised as a World Heritage Site in 1985.

It is also an Important Bird Area (IBA).

The reserve is home to hundreds of species of Birds, Plants and Animals and easily accessible thanks to recently opened lakeside Walking and Biking trails. There are plenty of lookout points to stop and observe the wildlife and scenery, or just to rest.

The breeding colony of Dalmatian Pelicans (Pelecanus Crispus) is the only one in Bulgaria and thanks to the hard work and co-operation of many organisations it is now thriving again.
