Eccles Villa is a nice villa, recently refurbished.
It is located on the main street of a small village, situated on the Danube, Europe's second biggest river. The village is just 15 km from the town of Vidin.
The garden is 1200 sq. m. and is well maintained. There are many trees, vegatables and vine-arbour. The villa is surrounded by a nice metal fence.
Eccles Villa is well finished with terracotta tiles, smooth plastered and painted walls, wooden strip floors, wall papers, quality double glazing windows.
The Villa is furnished nicely.
On the 1st floor there are: corridor, tiled kitchen, basement with own entrance. Outer staircase is leading to the next floor.
On the 2nd floor there are: corridor with floor tiles and nice plastered walls, 1 bedroom, a living room, with wooden strip floorings, shower and WC all tiled and fitted.
Available in the garden is an outbuilding turned into a summer kitchen with facilities.The villa is in a good neighbourhood and offers great view to the river.
The property is less than 1 minute walking to the river Danube and the local beach, which is good for fishing, sailing, sunbathing, swimming, water sports.
The village has many local amenities, shops, post office, bar, restaurant. There is also a regular public transport by bus from/to Vidin and the capital Sofia.
There is enough parking space available in the yard.
Villa Eccles is a nice holiday Villa, suitable for families and groups of friends. It is very cozy place to spend your holiday, since it is away from the polluted areas and is so near the beach on the Danube River!
The price to rent the whole villa is 140 Euros per week. The villa is also available for long-term rent 3+ months and the price in this case is 250 Euros per month, but all bills must be paid by the tenant.
Eccles Villa is very near to the town of Vidin, where the tourists can find many places of interest, beautiful garden along the Danube River, good restaurants and bars and many many small cafes. There are also lots of shops, Internet cafes, theatre, cinemas, art gallery, hospitals, etc.
The town is situated on the bank of the Danube River, on its big curve in the most northwestern corner of Bulgaria. Vidin is one of the oldest Bulgarian towns with rich history and many historical places of interest.
The past of this town dates 23 centuries ago during which centuries it has changed its name and was ruined and built again many times.
The famous Baba Vida Fortress is the biggest historical sight of Vidin and is the best preserved medieval Bulgarian fortress in the country. It has been built in different historical periods from 3rd century till the end of 19th century.
The Town Historical Museum is one of the richest and best-arranged museums in the country. It is housed in two buildings - in the former Turkish Konak police office) from 18th century are arranged the Archaeology, Revival Period and National Liberation Movement sections, and the Ethnographic section is placed in the Krustatata Kazarma barracks building like a crest)- an original architectural monument from the end of 18th century.
In the town of Vidin, tourists can also visit the St. Dimitur Cathedral, the Town Art Gallery, the Teketo (Islamic monastery) Saldahin Baba, Hadzhi Angel's House, the Synagogue and many other interesting cultural and historic monuments.
Being on major international roads and cross-points, the Bulgarian and the Romanian Governments decided to build a bridge in Vidin over the river, to connect both countries and roads. The construction already started. Next year Vidin will become one of the main points on the European road.
