Each room has a balcony with stunning, uninterrupted views to the mountains.

In an area packed full of beautiful nature and an abundance of scenic walks for the hiker and person pursuing pure clean mountain air. Enjoy the mountains in any season; a retreat for artists and writers. Ski heaven in the winter.

Gutsal is a delightfiully traditional mountain village where the real Bulgaria can still be found. Villa Gutsal was totally modernised in the summer of 2004. It has spectacular unrivalled views to the Rila Mountains and is available from only £ 275 per week.

The villa comprises a large open plan kitchen-diner with a specially designed wood burning fireplace for cosy nights in, also a sitting room, 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The kitchen has all brand new equipment: sink and drainer, large fridge freezer, 4 ring electric cooker, toaster, kettle, microwave and washing machine. A beautiful Bulgarian made pine dining table for 8. The sitting room offers comfortable seating with DVD, a large sofa can accommodate extra guests.

The large and naturally lit stairway with large landing on each floor leads to 2 bathrooms, 2 double and 2 twin bedrooms, each with balcony and individually controlled electric radiators, clothes hanger and cabinet. Each bathroom provides facility for on demand electric water heater for hot water supply, wall heater, shower, WC and wash basin. Outside there is a large private garden with fruit trees, so depending on the time of year you can feast on our delicious, organic pears, apples cherries, quince and hazlenuts.

There is a beautiful strawberry bed and raspberries to be enjoyed and flowers to amaze. There is ample parking for 3 cars. although there is sufficient parking on the lane outside the house. Our next door neighbours are most kind and speak only Bulgarian, it is amazing how hand gestures and a phrase book help! They will gladly sell you free range eggs and home made yogurt , as well as logs if you are visiting in the winter and need to keep the fire going.
