The Marina Botafoc area is neatly positioned between the glamorous extravagance of the harbour and the sophisticated chic of nightclubs Pacha and El Divino.
The Botafoc lighthouse is located just right of the beach as you head to Talamanca. Once you have gone past the hotel area, you will arrive at the Calle de Botafoc, which will take you straight to the lighthouse. From there you can enjoy the panoramic views, especially impressive at night, of the walled city of Ibiza. The lighthouse was built in 1861, and its tower is 16 metres high. Unfortunately, you cannot go inside the building. Free admission.
The more exclusive Marina Botafoc area of Ibiza Town is home to a number of vastly expensive restaurants serving extremely delicious food. One worth a mention is Madrigal (971 311 107), in the middle of the portside restaurant strip, where you can choose between a simple, romantic table outside or a sumptuous table inside, at which you sit on a red sofa and are surrounded by fine art.
