Cala Murada

Cala Murada is a Urbanisation with a total area of 2.500.000 m І and a coastal range of approximately 2 km. With prettily lain small edge of bathing, its country houses and mansions it lies in a pictorial landscape at the southeast coast Mallorcas.

The coast of Manacor comprises a series of beautiful beaches and coves. More than 6Km of this coastline is almost virgin, and many locations have been declared sites of special interest.Cala Murada is nestled amongst national parkland on the east coast of Mallorca. This picturesque area is called romantic wild coast. Surrounded by pine forests the village is an oasis of tranquillity away from the hustle and bustle of other mallorca resorts. There is a small-secluded beach with fine sand. Situated between the towns of Porto Colom and Porto Cristo this charming location is ideal for a relaxed family holiday.

The quiet little village has a centre with a few small bars and family run restaurants. There are 2 banks, a supermarket, 2 hotels, crazy golf and 2 tennis courts. The houses and villas are tastefully interspersed amongst the pine trees. The Cala Murada area includes a beautiful beach of the same name, just a few minutes walk away from each area, which has been awarded the European Blue Flag in recognition of its cleanliness and excellent range of services. The crystalline waters and wonderful seabeds are also famous among scuba divers.

Close to Cala Murada there are the tourist areas of Porto Cristo and Portocolom and as well Cala D'Or, which house two important yacht clubs. And only 8 Km away, the 18-hole Vall D’or Golf course is the perfect place for those who wish to play a round whilst enjoying great views of the Mediterranean.

Pork is a main ingredient of the Majorcan gastronomy and the base for the widely known, delicious sobrasada. The Majorcan frit, made of lamb, is also a typical dish worth trying. The caldereta (fish stew), rice with fish and especially the Majorcan prawn stand out among the island’s seafood. And when it comes to desserts, the sospiros (meringues) and the pastнs de pobre are the most sought after.
