Subiaco

Subiaco is an inner western suburb of Perth, Western Australia. Its Local Government Area is the City of Subiaco.

Subiaco is named after the town of Subiaco near Rome, Italy.

Landmarks of the suburb are Subiaco Oval and Mueller Park.

The main street of Subiaco is Rokeby Road which is named after Lord Rokeby. Rokeby Road is home to shops, cafés, stores, etc.. Another important commercial road is Hay Street.

Subiaco Street Festival is held every year as a street party on Rokeby Road and Hay Street and includes live entertainment and games.

Residential areas include Subi Centro, a modern housing development on reclaimed industrial land near Wembley, and older heritage properties towards Shenton Park.

School facilities include Subiaco Primary School and Perth Modern School, which is renowned for being the oldest government school as well as the only academically selective school in Western Australia.
