Sandgate is a village in the Folkestone & Hythe Urban Area in the Shepway district of Kent County, England. As of 2004, the town re-aquired civil parish status. The civil parish shares the same boundaries as the Folkestone Sandgate ward, at 2.17 km², and with a population of 3,800 as of the 2005 population estimate.
