Alghero with its harbor, and one of the most beautiful old towns, today is a center of Sardinien tourism. Numerous churches, piazzas, and towers are all among the attractions alongside the city walls, the museums, the aquarium, and the beaches north of the city. The town extends over suburbs such as Fertilia into the hinterlands.
The region, the coastal road to Bosa, the pass to Villanova Monteleone, the Nuraghe Palmavera, the Domus de Janas necropolis from Anghelu Ruju and Santu Pedru, all belong to the region's places of interest.
